Cincinnati Electronics is a leader in high technology
and engineering services. As late as 1988 the Company's primary
customer had been the U.S. Department of Defense. However, we have
also expanded our commercial market products during the last ten
year period.
00L-3 CE, as a company on the move, has three product business
areas each performing research, design, engineering and manufacture
of noteworthy products.
00Through its Infrared Products, L-3 Cincinnati Electronics enjoys
world-wide scientific recognition. Formed in the early 1960's, our
most recent accomplishments are the Infrared Detector Radiometer
for the COBE mission (the determination of the universe) and the
GALILEO mission to Mars.
00The Space Electronics Division of L-3 Cincinnati Electronics has
supported the nation's launch vehicle and spacecraft initiatives
for nearly fifty years. L-3 CE Range Safety Receivers have been in
use on more than 75% of the United States Space launches with a 100%
reliability record. L-3 Cincinnati Electronics' X-Band and Ku-Band
High Data Rate Payload Modulators and Transmitters, S-Band Tracking,
Telemetry and Command (TT&C) Transceivers are available in configurations
compatible with NASA Spaceflight Tracking and Data Network (STDN),
NASA Ground Network (GN) and NASA "Spacecraft Tracking and Data
Relay Satellite System" (TDRSS). L-3 CE is also participating
in various missions to Mars with specialized UHF Spacecraft Communication
Receiver and Transmitter Systems. Additionally, L-3 CE continues
to supply UHF SATCOM/LOS antennas to various services of the Armed
Forces.
00L-3 Cincinnati Electronics Infrared Systems Division gives aircraft
quick, reliable warning of attack by enemy missiles. Quoted as "the
best missile warning system flying today", the AN/AAR-44A is
reaffirming L-3 CE's excellent reputation and extremely favorable
performance characteristics in electronic equipment.
